What happened to the official country regulatory authorities?

Regulatory Authorities that once worked for specific countries or country alliances, such as the EMA, have been infiltrated to the point where they no longer do what they are paid for. They are marching to the tune of public and private organisations that have manufactured a role for themselves in the regulation of medicinal products.

Let's begin with this self-appointed organisation, which, can you believe, MHRA is enabling:

The ICMRA appears to have ‘volunteered’ to enter the field of regulatory oversight even though it has no legitimate role delegated from Governments. In defining its role for itself, it has miraculously persuaded current and former CEOs of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to accept the Chairmanship of ICMRA. It has then created a global network of members that include nearly every Regulatory Authority in the world.
