Moderna sue Pfizer and BioNTech

It’s been reported that Moderna files patent infringement lawsuits against Pfizer and BioNTech over mRNA Covid-19 vaccines.

…from the sublime to the ridiculous—how can they patent something that doesn’t exist?

If we return to the world of common sense and critical thinking for a moment, what have we really got here?

The article states that the patents were filed between 2010 and 2016. Then, there was absolutely no real-world evidence that they could ever become a saleable product (there is still none, but that’s another story).

So, if Moderna had not proven they could develop and produce a product based on mRNA technology, how did they manage to file a patent and get it upheld?

Same applies to Pfizer and BioNTech. They will also hold patents based on mRNA technology filed before the EUAs were awarded (and they are still not fo…
