Government celebrations
Late last month I posted on how UK Government celebrated a £7.1 million funding award for Oxford Biomedica (OXB), a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) in gene therapy. As the consultant commissioned to help frame the application for the funding call, titled: Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative (AMSCI), I was invited to the celebration at OXBs headquarters in Cowley, Oxford.

I mention in the post “Also involved in the project was UK Government’s (through Innovate UK) Cell & Gene Therapy Catapult (CGTC), albeit OXB dealt with them directly on technical and science considerations.”
That direct connection continued after I left the project, as the CGTC received funding to help implement the project.
